FOR THE LOVE OF A..... ART AUTISM AWARENESS

The main purpose of the event is autism awareness.... This is a family event!
Our desire is to open the door to further present our ins and outs as we raise our kids with certain challenges and so much potential.
This is a free awareness event for the community! Olga Torres, resident of Ft. Myers, has used art as the outlet to empower her days.Faces of Autism is her project and as she says: "Capturing the soul in people's eyes became a wonderful therapy for me".

She will share her experience, show her art and questions are welcomed.Yadira Calderon put together a short film -- Just Autism... No Panic Right! and it was selected for the World Arts Film Festival in JAX - Oct. 2015.The short film centers on themes of living life to the fullest and diversity.

Yadira's fight, and the movie, were triggered by her experiences with her seven year old daughter, Thomais, who has autism. “One of the greatest things Autism has taught us is that we can all get together and learn from each other based on our differing strengths,” Calderon added. "Children with autism are some of the most resilient, awe-inspiring people I’ve ever come across.

It is time society recognizes it, too,” the director says. Let's celebrate the positive in our days while acknowledging its challenges. This is a reality the community can be a part of, ponder, entertain and ask questions about.Adding the element of the local Sheriff's presentation -- how they support the community preventing wandering. This is a relevant message to transmit. Project Lifesaver/Lojack fulfills this purpose.
